This policy explains what information Barrel Shark ("we") collects through barrelshark.com and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Information you send us: when you email us or use a form on this site, we receive your name, email address and whatever you include in the message.
- Order information: when online checkout opens, we'll receive your name, shipping address, email and order details. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor; we don't store full card numbers.
- Reservations: when you reserve an order, we store your name, email, optional ZIP code and the items you reserved so we can contact you when your order is ready to ship.
- Email list: if you join our list, we store your email address and the page you signed up from.
- Cart: items you add to your cart are saved in your own browser's storage so your cart persists between pages.
- Anonymous usage counts: to understand interest in our products, the site records page visits and add-to-cart actions with a random ID stored in your browser, plus the site or link that referred you. This isn't linked to your name or email unless you reserve an order, and we don't use advertising cookies.
- Technical data: our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, processes standard request data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested to deliver and protect the site.
How we use it
- To answer your questions and process and ship orders
- To send launch news and offers if you join our email list (you can unsubscribe at any time)
- To run team and wholesale programs you apply for
- To measure interest in our products and plan inventory
- To keep the site secure and working
Sharing
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, such as hosting, payment processing, shipping carriers and email services, and only as needed for them to do that work, or when required by law.
Cookies and tracking
We don't use advertising cookies or third-party trackers. The anonymous usage counts above use your browser's local storage, which you can clear at any time in your browser settings. If we add analytics or advertising tools, we'll update this policy first.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@barrelshark.com. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in the email.
Children
This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
